Annual Cross Country ; "Face the Race, Pace to Raise"

Run, run, run as fast as you can!

Themed "Face the Race, Pace to Raise", this year, the Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur held our annual Cross Country run on the 12th of April 2014, at the Lake Gardens. This Cross Country run was initially organized in 2007 to provide financial aid for the Johor flood victims. Since then, our club has continued to organize a Cross Country run every year to raise funds for the underprivileged.

We were honoured to have Mdm Chia Loy Tian, our school principal and Guest Of Honour, Presiden Cham Kam Fatt present at our event on that day. After a short morning exercise lead by Int. Bryan Bin and Int. Tan Zhi Hao, the event started off with the lower secondary girls, which are the Form 1's and Form 2's.

A beautiful weather in the morning to run :)

The event ended with the prize giving ceremony where the principal gave out the prizes to all the winners, from the runners to the highest donors. Prizes were awarded to the top 10 runners of each category, highest donor, second highest donor and highest class donor from each form. The highest donor received an iPhone 5C and the second highest donor received a 2-day 1 night stay at Sunway Resorts Hotel and Spa. The highest class donors of each form received a hamper. With the generous support of everyone, we have successfully raised RM100050.00!! The money raised will be donated to various charitable organizations and homes.

We are truly grateful for the support given by everyone, because this event would not be a success without it :) So to all teachers, parents, students, ex-students, and sponsors, we offer our sincere gratitude for the undying support for this event, and your contribution will definitely leave a smile on the faces of the underprivileged.  Once again, we thank you for making this event a success, and thank you for joining us make a difference in the lives of someone else out there :)
