Finally the long awaited day, the form
4 Interactors gathered in Wesley Methodist school on the 28th of July to prepare the grounds for a day filled with laughter and fun. By 8.15am,
the school compound was beautifully decorated with colourful, balloons and
other decorations and 82 children from Pusat Bantuan Sentul, Praise Emmanual Home and Stepping Stones Home
came flooding in. Precisely at 9.20am, the event officially started with our
guest of honour, Madam Chia Loy Tian officiated out event by a pull of a
string, she released the flag along with setting of a few confetti bombs rigged
on the flag poles.
A group of our high-octane interactors then put on an entertaining
dance performance where the excited kids soon joined in. After a session of
ice-breaking, the kids were treated to a magic show. Upon having a short break,
the Interactors then took them to the half courts for the Creative Session.
Next was a session of station games where the children showed their competitive
side. After a long and tiring agenda, they were brought to the canteen for a
well deserved lunch followed by a prize giving and photo session.
All the hard work months before,
led by Interactor Jonathan Ong and Lee Shi Min preparing for the Kids Carnival
paid off seeing all the kids from various homes leaving the school tired from
the long day but having genuine smiles on all their cute faces. We all
certainly had an amazing time!
