Spectrum Carnival 2016

On the 11th November of 2016, the Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) held it's annual carnival themed Spectrum which allowed the students to enter a world filled with a kaleidoscope of colours. The carnival was officially started with Madam Chia officiating the event.

After the opening ceremony, many students eagerly lined up at the registration table in order to buy their coupons! The Interactors were waiting at their respective booths such as the T-shirt challenge, BubbleBall sport, Dunking Machine, the photobooth, Escape Room, facepainting and many more. We also had our annual dodgeball tournament which was a favorite amongst the Wesleyans!

There were many exciting prizes that could be won through the lucky draw system, winning the dodgeball tournament and also exchanging with the points collected from the station games. The prizes ranged from Pokemon soft toys, VR boxes, headphones, food hampers and many more!

As for the food, it received an overwhelming response from all the students as their tummies were grumbling after using all their energy on the games. The students really enjoyed the food while it lasted :)

Overall, the students and Interactors had a really great time during the carnival. The carnival ended at around 12.30 and the students were sent back to their respective classes while the Interactors were asked to stay back to clean up the school compound. The f3 Interactors played an important role during the clean up session and the school compound was as clean as new after the Interactors finished cleaning. This event would not have been a success without the help from our amazing teacher advisors who guided us throughout the preparations for carnival and also a HUGE shoutout to our two amazing funding directors, Int. Jonathan Chan and Int. Zoey Chan for planning this event. We would like to thank them all of the amazing support for this event and we hope to continue to receive your support for our future upcoming events!!

Chassant Rêves - Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur 15/16

The time has come for the members of the Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpr 15/16 to hand over the club to our newly installed Interactors. It feels like just yesterday when the responsibility of maintaining and running the club was given to us, we can't believe one year has passed. Even so, we are very proud to "retire" and end our journey of being an Interactor. It has been a fruitful and meaningful year and we sincerely hope our new BOD and members will enjoy their time in this club too. Thank you to everyone we've served and helped because without you, we wouldn't be where we are today! We hope this isn't the end but a start of something even bigger and even better. Never stop serving and contributing to society and always uphold the principle of "Service Above Self" because that's what being an Interactor was and is about. Once an Interactor, always an Interactor. Viva La Interact~

Signing off,
Chassant Rêves (Chasing Dreams since 1999)

Thank you for your service, Interactors 15/16. None of our events would have been successful without your hard work and dedication.   All the best in your future endeavours, fam.

Senior Interactors Farewell

The Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) organized a farewell event on the 9th of September 2015 (Friday). The theme for this event was Dreamworks as it followed up the interact theme for our last physical year which was Chasing Dreams. This theme shows that the senior Interactors achieved what they work hard for and symbolises the realisation of their dreams. The event was held at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur. A total of 85 students and 2 teacher advisors participated in this event.

This year, the organising committee was made up of five junior Interactors, led by the organizing chairperson, Int. Goh May Zhi, assisted by the assistant organizing chairperson, Int. Lauren Lim, as well as the secretary and treasurer, Int. Yip Shin Wen and Int. Yuvan Ravindran respectively.

The preparation for this event started on 10th of August. Despite the lack of time for preparation of this event, the junior Interactors still managed to finish their preparations for the event to run smoothly. The junior Interactors were separated into groups with different tasks and they all did their best to prepare for this event.

On the 9th of September, 15 juniors left for Concorde Hotel at 10.30 a.m. to set up the decorations. The other junior members left the school at 1.15 p.m. followed by the seniors that left 10 minutes later. The junior members that arrived at the venue arranged themselves at the entrance to welcome the senior members. At about 2.15 p.m., the Interactors started to enjoy the delicious buffet lunch catered by the hotel. While enjoying their meal, the Interactors watched a video presentation prepared by Joshua and his team for the seniors. It contained humour and was very meaningful. After the video presentation, the junior Interactors performed a skit prepared for the seniors. A while later, one of our teacher advisors, Mdm Lavanya gave a speech on behalf of Mr. Kenneth who could not attend the event due to his injury. Mdm Lavanya also shared about her thoughts and love for the club. It was a wonderful and heartwarming speech that touched the heart of all Interactors.

After the speeches ended, we headed out of the hall to take a group picture before heading back to the hall again to enjoy a singing performance. The singing performance was performed by a group of talented junior Interactors. Some of the senior Interactors were given a chance to share their thoughts and experiences of their time in the club. Before the event came to an end, there was a session for the junior Interactors to present gifts specially prepared for the seniors. We had a great bonding time too. At around 4.00 p.m., the event ended and juniors stayed back to clean up the venue.

Through this meaningful event, the juniors were given great opportunity to thank the seniors for their contributions and commitment towards the club and to appreciate their effort of putting in their all to make events successful. We are glad the seniors enjoyed their last interact event in their secondary school life. Overall the event was a successful one and everyone had a great time.
